Biografia :

Quando era criança Lady Gaga frequentou a escola privada Convento do Sagrado Coração, onde aprendeu a tocar piano e teve conhecimento do mundo da música. Aos dezessete anos foi estudar música na Universidade de Artes de Nova York. Antes de se lançar como cantora, Lady GaGa escrevia canções para artistas da Interscope como o grupo americano The Pussycat Dolls, e ainda escreveu uma das canções que foram bónus no Itunes do álbum Circus de Britney Spears, Quicksand.

Em 8 de Abril lançou seu primeiro compacto, "Just Dance", junto a um EP com 3 músicas (Beautiful Dirty Rich, Dirty Ice Cream e Rock Show).

No dia 13 de Julho, apresentou-se no Miss Universo 2008, no Vietnã, cantando seu primeiro single, Just Dance. A apresentação foi extremamente importante para divulgação da cantora e da música.

Logo, GaGa estourava nas paradas Canadenses, e seu álbum foi lançado no dia 19 de Agosto, dando também início a Mini-tour Haus of GaGa, que divulgava seu primeiro álbum. O CD recebeu uma reedição, contendo mais faixas, e foi lançado mundialmente no dia 28 de Outubro.

O segundo single do seu álbum de estreia seria Beautiful, Dirty, Rich, música que também serve de abertura para a série Dirty Sexy Money. O desempenho da faixa estava mais baixo do que a música que se tornou oficialmente o segundo single, "Poker Face" .


Nome artístico
O seu nome artístico Lady GaGa é uma referência à canção "Radio Ga Ga", um sucesso de 1984 do grupo inglês Queen (então com Freddie Mercury nos vocais).

Curiosidades sobre o Nintendo DS

O Nintendo DS (abreviado como NDS ou DS, assim como iQue DS na China) é um videogame portátil desenvolvido e produzido pela Nintendo, lançado em 2004. Ele é visualmente distinto por seu design horizontal abre e fecha, similar ao Game Boy Advance SP, e a presença de duas telas, a inferior age como uma tela sensível ao toque. O sistema também possui um microfone embutido, e tem suporte a conexão sem-fio via Wireless Local, permitindo uma interação entre os jogadores dentro de uma pequena área (9-30 metros, dependendo das condições), ou pelo Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, que permite batalhas multiplayer pela Internet com jogadores de todo o mundo, e com um flashcard é possivel rodar mp3, videos e programas como msn, ds organize, ebook e word além de jogos.

As letras "DS" no nome foram criadas para significar tanto a expressão Dual Screen (duas telas) e Developers' System (sistema dos desenvolvedores), que se refere as características inovadoras do gameplay entre os desenvolvedores de jogos. O sistema foi apelidado de Project Nitro (projeto Nitro) durante seu desenvolvimento, assim como o Wii recebeu o codename de Revolution.

A tela inferior do Nintendo DS está sobre uma tela sensível a toque com sensor de pressão, designada para aceitar comandos da caneta que vem junto com o console (chamada Stylus), dos dedos do jogador, ou da "thumb stylus": um retângulo de plástico que pode ser adicionado ao fio de segurança que acompanha o portátil. Agora disponivel em branco, preto, prata, azul, rosa e as novas cores ( por um preço mas caro ) vermelha, verde e amarela. Também tem acessórios ( que têm de ser comprados individualmente ) fones, e bolsa para guardar jogos e a própria Nintendo ( mole, ou dura e para ser posta num cinto ).
